Suffolk Streetwatch

Local People Making Local Communities Safer

Sudbury Streetwatch

The Sudbury Streetwatch scheme was launched in September 2012. At present there are 10 members who all meet up once a month to discuss any problems and of course successes during our regular patrols around the Town and Estates of Sudbury. Members of the public who we meet and talk to during these patrols appreciate our presence on their streets providing them with visible reassurance and a real feel of community engagement.

The teams efforts to fund this new web site have been successful with a donation from Sudbury Town Council.

Recently working along side some of our partner agencies (Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, Babergh District Council and English Landscapes) we have been stepping up our patrols in Belle Vue Park to support the Park Rangers.

Working along side our Sponsors and Partner Agencies Sudbury Streetwatch is proving to be very successful, so the future of our very friendly group is one of growth. We would be pleased to see more members join us so do not hesitate to get in touch.

This site and the service provided by our volunteers exists thanks to donations and the support of public services and business. Currently they are;

  1. Sudbury Town Council
  2. Suffolk Constabulary
  3. Suffolk Police Crime Commissioner
  4. Castle Mount ID Cards
  5. Making A Difference Locally
  6. Byte Shed Internet
